| Never... Ever... let a ticket go un-contested. I'm 35 and have had 10 tickets in my 20+/- years of driving. Of those 10 only 3 have stuck. Just go to court, be pleasant and ask for lessor (non-moving violation) type ticket. If they don't go for that ask for an adjournment contemplating dismissal (no future ticket in X-amount of days then they drop the ticket.) If they don't go for that ask for the school... Never admit that you were speeding, but don't lie about it either. They are looking to make things safer, understand that. (and your $) Make them understand that you are a safe driver and have "learned a lesson" and that you are willing to pay financially and the odds are with you...
